    from Goll Mac Morna who is supposed to have remained in this district in the time of Finn Mac Cool.
    Hollows.
    "Baile Camáin" in the townsland of Bennettsbridge in the barony of Gowran in the Parish of Tulaherin. It means the town of the hurles, and it is so called because hurling was played there.
    Old Rocks.
    "An Líogán", the Hollow Stone, in the townsland of Legan, in the barony of Gowran, in the Parish of Thomastown, got it's name because of a deep hollow in the centre of the stone.
    "Doyle's Rock" in the townsland of Brownesbarn, in the Parish of Thomastown, in the barony of Gowran, got it's name from it's former owner "Doyle".
