  1. To stop Bleeding from a cut.
    Take some spungk leaves bruise them and rub the juice round the cut.
    To cure warts
    1. Take some oaten straws. Tie three knots on each straw and rub the warts with the knot saying in the name of the Father, & of the Son &c. making the sign of the cross on the warts at the same time. Bury the straws and as they decay, the warts will disappear.
    2. Make a parcel containing a number of pebbles corresponding to the number of warts. Put the parcel on the road and the person finding it will get the warts as they leave you.
    3. Spunge called warb weed in many districts Rub the milk on the warts and they will disappear.
