- Near my house there is a field called árdthebán which means the white high field. It belongs to Mr Keoghan and it is not known who put that name on it. There is another field called "Páirc Fionn" which means Fionns field.

- Our land is situated in Ballintarsna in the townland of Rathealy in the Parish of Tullaroan and in the Barony of Crannagh.
One of the fields is called the Rawluck because there are six little hills and it is supposed that six judges sat on them.
There is a place near us called Knockmuck. It got its name from a black pig crossing over it.- Collector
