There are numerous stories told in the district of people who cut bushes in raths suffering from blood poisoning (caused by pricks from thorns of the bushes cut in the raths.) I have failed however to get anything more definite than "a workman body's" '- there is a rath in Cody's farms.
With regard to these raths there seems to be three "dangerous" ones - that one Holohans (Clomantagh) referred to in Child's Composition - another on Cody's Farm - Tubrid Upper. A child writing of this rath states
"There is a pass in Coddy's field
'and if they put calves or anything
'(other animals) in the field they
    'would die"
All the raths in this district are circular in shape.
