    Signs of Good Weather
    (1) To see a redness around the horizon in the evening.
    (2) In the evening if you see a white fog like smoke over the valley.
    (3) When the thrush sings early in the morning.
    (4) When swallows fly high.
    (5) "A rainbow at night is the shepherd's delight
    (6) To see crows and sea-gulls mixed together, and flying round in whirls is a sign of high wind
    (7) After a shower, if the cock crows loudly, it is a sign that the weather is going to keep fair.
    (8) The folk in my home district always say that when Culloville train cane be heard clearly, it is a sign of good weather
