- There are seven families in our townland.
The heads of those families are,-Patrick Sherry.
Michael Woods.
Peter Mc Mahon.
James King.
Owen Callan.
Thomas Duffy.
Peter CunninghamAll these families depend on their farms for a living. Many of them take con-acre - Some of those houses are slated and others are thatched. One is a mud-walled house, and one of those houses have been re-conditioned within the last year.
Our houses was built in the year 1913. It is a slated house and we have two gardens one before the house and the other behind it. We have five apple trees in our front garden and a number of gooseberry bushes too.
The apple-trees yield a good crop every second year as a rule. We had a poor crop of apples this year (1938.).
