  1. James Salmon, of Donaghmoyne, Co. Monaghan, was a great nail - maker. He could also make gates, and ploughs.

  2. Hugh Reilly, Gorteen, Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan, was famed as a candle maker. He used to make them from tallow, resin, and rushes. He could make very good ones.
