    When the clouds seem to touch the mountains that the sign of rain.
    The South wind brings most rain in Spring.
    When smoke goes up straight in the air it is the sign of frost.
    When smoke blows in all directions it is the sign of rain.
    When smoke puffs back down the chimney it is the sign of bad weather.
    When snow remains at the backs of ditches, that is a sign that more snow will follow.
    When the worms come up over the ground that is a sign of rain. When the worms go down under the ground that is the sign of good weather.
