  2. There were many old schools in this district in olden times. There was a school in a field called "Gleann na Gaoire" in the townland of Miskish, Inniskeen, Co Monaghan. The teachers name was Thomas McCabe a native of Drumboat, Inniskeen, Co Monaghan, there were English and Irish spoken in this school. The school was held
