- There is one old traveller that stays in our village always.His name is Jack O'Brien and he is always welcome wherever he goes. He sells cups, plates, saucers, polish, scrubbing, polishing brushes, boot and shoe laces, strainers, saucepans, porringers, jugs, baskets and many other things. He obtains his supplies from Dundalk, and sometimes from Clones.He sleeps in lodgings in our village.He goes all over the country selling his different articles. He usually goes on foot, if not, he goes on the train. He comes to our house about once a month.He travels about by himself, it doesn't matter what the weather is like whether it is raining, or whether the sun is shining he goes out anyway. There is another old man that comes to our village too. His name is Sam Miller, and he(continues on next page)
