  1. 1. Mr. Creighton of Newbliss has a charm for a sprain, he has oil that he rubs on it and he says some words to himself.
    2. Mr. Sattor has a cure for a whittle.
    3. If we roast a snail and put it to a corn it will cure it.
    4. If a husband and wife of the same name make a pancake it will cure the whooping cough.
    5. Chickenweed boiled will cure sore feet.
    6. Baking-soda cures heart-burn.
    7. Sulphur and buttermilk cures boils.
    8. There is a well at Stonebridge called the Jaundice well. If any person had jaundice and go to the well and take a drink out of it, and hang a rag on a bush for a cure.
    9. There is a little fern that grows in a lone bush and if we pull it, and drunk the juice
