  1. AILMENT (CONTINUED) CURE:-
    Eyes - Water out of Holy wells will cure sore eyes.
    Head - Brown paper and vinegar applied to the forehead.
    Throat - Salt is put in a stocking and put around the throat when hot.
    Back - A plaster is good for the back.
    Shoulders - Red flannel used to be called a cure for shoulders.
    Cuts - Get the dog to lick them.
    Bruises - A Leech to suck out the "bad blood".
    Coughs - Syrup will cure coughs.
    Chest - Castor oil and brown paper are good for the chest.
    Sprains - Tie a strap round the wrist and it will cure a sprained wrist.
    Warts - A rub of a black snail is good for a wart.
