    The nearer the circle (round the moon) the farther the storm.
    When the moon sits on her back it is a sign of bad weather.
    When the moon is "horned" it is a sign of storm.
    When the Church Bells, Train Whistles are heard more plainly than usual it is a sign of damp weather.
