  2. The landlords of these townlands were The Richardsons of Poplar Vale Monaghan. They were not regarded as bad landlords. William Johnstone was the bailiff. This Landlord was not too hard on his tenants if they mad an efford to pay their rent but he evicted a good many. He evicted a family out of the house I live in. They were called McKennas. He evicted a man named Cassidy out of where Patrick McKeary now lives. He evicted Robert Draplan out of a house in Tiravera in 1829 where James McBennett now lives. The evicted the Hickeys and McElvanys out of Tiravera. This Landlord was generous to some people.
