been formed in the following manner.
Some Bishops visited St. Brigid at Lock Lemnachta to the north of Kildare. St. Brigid inquired if there was sufficient milk in the Convent and was told there was not.
St. Brigid was ashamed and wondered what she would do, when an angel appeared to her and told her to milk the cows a second time. The cows were milked and the milk filled the pails and then over-flowed and formed a big lough which today is known as Lock Lemnachta - the lake of new milk.
