    away everything that was of use. There is nothing left now only the old ruins. The millrace runs through the town land of Cappaneary, but there is no water in it now. The water came to it from the Barrow through a "Head Weir." This was removed and built up so no water can come into the millrace now. All the barley and oats which the farmers of the neighbourhood got ground into meal were ground in this mill. A miller was employed all the year round. It belonged to the Watson family for years.
