- (continued from previous page)The names of the best known of them are, Cunninghams, Mc Carthys, Thomas Kiley, and Edward Tracey. The Cunninghams sell delph also. They usually go of a fair day. There is great bargains between the buyer and them. Sometimes they give the delph for old clothes and boots. Thomas Kiley is dead. He used to sell holy pictures and, laces. The family who comes to the district frequently is Mc Carthy. They come six or seven times a year. They come about dinnertime. If there were only one or two of them in it they would go get their dinners. They always go to the fairs, and they usually come at Christmas. They often bring news from other parts of the country. If they knew that the people liked to hear news they would tell them lies and truth. Then the people would still give them food. Some people let the travellers sleep in a barn. Some of the travellers are good storytellers.A wealthy family named Cash visit this district occasionally. They deal in horses. They have a great many caravans in which they sleep.
