    as high as horses went roaring outside the ring. When one man broke the ring with his foot the lions an all walked in took up the chest and carried it away to another part of the farm and it is there to the present day.
    There is burying ground in Reary, and near it are Seven Blessed Wells. Each well has its own cave, sore eyes,sore ears etc. Down a lane to a graveyard there is a large rock by the side of the road. On the Rock there are the marks of two knees and half legs of a man. A saint is supposed to have knelt here when travelling and to have left the marks of his knees on it.
    There used to be a card school in Glebe near Clonaslee. The Cayes went there one night and thee was no light only a short bit of candle about 4 inches.They prayed all night till 4 o clock in the morning and yet the candle did not diminish in the least.
    There used to be fairy forts in Tinnahinch, Clonaslee around the mountain. There was a lot of heather growing in one of them. A man wanted a bed for a pig. She took his scythe went into the fort to cut the heather, But try as he might he wasn't able to cut the heather.
