There some hours later his own comrades found him.
With a dozen grim troopers strewn lifeless around him.
They thought of his young bride the fond Roseleana.
As they bore his cold corpse over fair Ross-Na-Creena.
They dug his own grave, amid tears of deep sorrow.
As they laid him to rest down neat wild Lappa-narrow.
In this cave of the Rapparee Father O' Farrell
Said a Requim Mass for young Phelim O' Carroll.
The names mentioned in above Poem are all in the vicinity of Coolrain,Mountrath,Leix and it is not known to me whether the poem ever appeared in Print or not.
