    Burns.
    A roasted cabbage leaf and honey was used for burns if applied in time.
    Bleeding from Nose.
    Place a large bunch of keys down one's back, or put a damp cloth on one's nose would stop bleeding from nose.
    Bleeding Wound.
    A Common cure for a bleeding nose cut or scar was to roll it in a cobweb, this soaks up the blood.
    Boils.
    Get burgundy pitch and heat it then, when in liquid state spread on corduroy and place it on the boils.
    Consumption.
    One good cure for consumption is a Spanish onion stewed in milk. Get three snails and place them in a small box with oaten meal. Leave them in the box until slime goes off. After that boil milk and drop the snails into it. Then simmer and strain well and drink milk.
    Chilblains.
    To carry a potatoes in one's pocket
