    Mr. Walpole, some people said it was for hiding money. This pot is very big, it has three big feet and it stands twelve inches from the ground, very wide at the bottom and narrow at the top, with an oak lid and there is a round hole in the lid for dropping in the money and Grandfather said that it was very peculiar that there was no water in the pot but dry leaves. It must have been a valuable pot when a jew man offered Mr. Walpole five pounds for it and he would not give it. There was at that time only one pot like it in Dublin Castle. It still remains at ancient Mondrehid. The old people say that there is a treasure hidden between the Castle of Borris and Mondrehid. "The Antiquarian Society" came to look at the pot one time and they said it must
