The man was much frightened at this, wondering how the horse got out, for no horse could possibly get out over so wide a river. The next night he went out with a lantern. He stayed looking at the horse for an hour and a half. Finally a little fairy man with a red cap on his head took up the horse in his arms and carried him out over the river. It is said that every night at twelve o'clock the fairies danced in the rath and they did not want the horse there so they carried him out to the field.
