    in a Catholic country like Belgium a Catholic Bishop would be buried at midnight.
    (3) He finally stated that two years after the supposed death in Brussels Dr O'Dwyer is mentioned in the State Papers as have returned to Ireland and having been engaged in stirring up sedition in Clare and Ossory.
    Canon Carrigan was of opinion that the supposed death was simply a ruse to enable Dr O'Dwyer to pursue his work in the national interests.
    Close to the 'Bishops' is a mass pit called Clais an Aifrinn (eiginn[?]) where the Bishop used to say Mass.
    So convinced was Canon Carrigan of the truth of his belief that he had a parochial pilgrimage to the spot in 1919 when the Rosary was recited at the tree.
    He had arranged that on order to preserve the tradition a [?] pilgrimage should be made to the tree every five years but unfortunately this idea has not been carried out.
