  1. There is a holy well dedicated to St. Fintan in Cromogue in the parish of Raheen. It is situated in a very remote part of the district and has been there for centuries.
    In the early ages the well was in a field in Clonenagh. People used come in great numbers to pray at it. The owner of the field who was a protestant was not satisfied with the people trespassing on his land. At length he filled it up, and St. Fintan is supposed to have removed it and it sprang up in
