    A new moon on a Saturday is a sign of bad weather and there is a saying "A Saturday's moon comes seven years too soon"
    It is supposed to rain some every day for forty day's if it rains on St Swithins Day, and if it rains the first of August it is said it will rain some for six weeks or three fortnights and it is called the "Llamens flood. "
    When anyone sees the Wild Geese flying south it is the sign of wet weather also. There is a saying that if the wind blows north on the first of May it is to be a dry harsh Summer, and if the wind blows south it is supposed to be a soft Summer. If you get up on the first of May before the sun rises and rub your eyes with the dew you will rise early the whole year round.
