    For healing the mumps they used roasted salt on flannel.
    For healing chill blains they used turpentine, they heated it and put it on for three mornings.
    The old cure for a sty was to rub a wedding ring on the sty for nine mornings.
    Another cure for boils was a spunk leaf which was heated and put to it.
    Another cure for a wart was the milk of dandelion was used and rubbed on it for three mornings saying "In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost Amen"
