  1. After the death of St. Fintan all the people used to come into the field where the well was and the Land Lord became very angry with them and he filled the well with rubbish and the next morning the well was found up in a tree at Clonenagh and the chief well was in Cromogue.
    One day a girl went out to the well for water to boil the dinner and the water would not boil and she had to take out the water again and she threw it back
