    The cure for a sprained ankle was, to hold the ankle under a running tap or stream for a while. The cure for a heart-burn was breadsoda mixed with buttermilk. The cure for a burn, was flour and castoroil mixed together and then rubbed on the burn.
    People long ago used have great confidence in going to holy wells to be cured of their diseases.
