If they got married on the other days they would have bad luck. It is said the "good people would take their luck. The months of March, April and August are said to be very lucky for marriage
About fifty years ago a couple were married, there names were James Muldoon and Mary Baker in their own home. Many people used to go to the marriages on horse - back and when the marriage would be over they would race each other home(continues on next page)- Collector
