    this well there is a big square stone upheld by four other stones of smaller dimensions. It is believed that anyone with a pain in the back who goes out under the big stone three times will be cured instantly.
    There is an herb growing in this district called "comfrey". It is believed if you scrape the root of this weed and put a poultice of it on a sore it will heal the wound.
    A reliable method for the relief of a sore is to let a dog lick it and it will heal immediately.
    A good antidote for nettle sting is a rub of a freshly pulled dock-leaf.
    A very good remedy for rheumatism is to lie on a bed
