You skillful bard of this Irish nation Pray assist me in those verses true...

    (continued from previous page)
As he walked by the garden wall
A handsome plum tree he chanced to see
He there ascended without much harm
His inclination was two or three
When wicked Walker with his musket loaded
Discharged his shot without much hesitation
And tore his bowels most dreadfully.
Off the garden wall he tumbled down
    All besmeared in crimson gore
    My slender pen cannot describe
The racking pains of death he bore.
Now of his funeral I will make mention
His comrade boys marched in a row
With white scarves and well dressed garments
I am sure they were a lovely show.
Twelve swan like females walked on before them
The doleful march did begin from his dwelling
House through the town of Boyle
And had his body in Assylinn.
