house. Nancy was sitting on a little stool beside the fire.
"Have you seen a hare coming in here Miss Tivnan" said the priest. "No indeed father" said she. The priest asked her to stand up, and when she did, there was a pool of blood to be seen on the stool on which she was sitting. Knowing that she was found out in her game, she began screaming, and she ran out of the house. The woman was never heard of any more. She was supposed to have the power to turn herself into a hare and in this manner steal the butter out of the other people's houses. From that day hence every person had his own share of butter.
