"Farewell to Boyle, to lakes and all,
That span my native town,
Each crystal rill and tall fair hill
That looks serenely down;
That school-house o'er the river.
The green islands and the mill,
And your pleasant cot, Frank Higgins,

The cascades roar beside the town
Where trout and salmon play.
