    1) It is unlucky to throw out ashes or water upon that day.

    2) No milk is given away

    3) Some shop-keepers insist upon getting cash for each thing bought.

    4) May flowers are scattered before doors of dwelling houses and under cattle or horses in stables.

    5) It is unlucky to loan anything that day. It would be very difficult in my locality to get any farm implement or even hay or turf no matter how needful the case might be.
