- There was a treasure hidden in Cloonaholly Dúnann and the following people dug the spot where it was supposed to be:- John Frain and his son and Thomas Greene.
At night they commenced digging and continued their work till they came to a big flag. Then they decided on postponing the breaking of this flag till the following night. Next night as arranged the three men were on the scene and began to break the flag. Having broken it they found a big pot of gold containing thousands of pounds. There was a worm in the shape of a man minding this pot of gold and they killed him.- Collector
