When he had enough eaten he asked the neighbours was there a big field near. They soon brought him to a field. He blew this whistle and the officer came out and he told him to take out a thousand men and do exercise. After a while he blew his whistle and they went in again. The King of England heard about this and he sent five hundred men to take the box off him. When they came the man blew the whistle and the officer came out. The man said, "Take out a thousand men and kill them all but ten." They killed them all but ten and the ten went back and told their story. Then the King sent a thousand men. When they came the man blew his whistle again and he told the officer to take a thousand men and kill them all. The officer took a thousand men and killed them all. No other one tried to take it off him so they lived happy together after that.
