    Sling : - We make a sling by getting a piece of leather and put a hole in each side of it, where we tie two strings. We put a stone in the piece of leather, catch hold of the strings, and swing it rapidly round. Then we loose one string and the stone flies off with rapidity.
    Gun : - You get a piece of an elderberry about a foot long and cut the pith out of it. Then you cut about two inches out of the side of it in to the hole and put a pliable piece of tin in it making a spring. Put a thin piece of stick in through the hole and it will fire it out with great force by pulling the spring.
