- There is a townland near the town of Ballaghdereen called Tibohine. It got its name from Saint Bohine.
This saint lived as a lonely hermit for several years in a little cell or hut. He built a chapel there and used to say Mass in it for the people in the Penal Days. The ruins of the chapel are to be seen yet.
