“Tradition that there was a cow near Oran Hill”
Tradition that there was a cow near Oran Hill (present Dry Mills) and that this cow grant milk to any person who milked her. Although she wandered during the day, she always returned to same spot at night.
Some woman said she would milk her dry. Procuring a sieve, she milked the cow into the sieve. She milked and milked until the cow dropped dead. Some maintain that the cow was placed there by St. Patrick.Above [evidently ? ] widely known locally.- Informant
