- The house presently occupied by Mr Charles Mee at Emlamore was once the residence of Mr Coume who was Goldsmith's uncle.The house although somewhat remodelled shows a distinct type of architecture.Goldsmith visited here and spent much of his time wandering around the surrounding district. Some say that this district is portrayed in "Sweet Auburn".There is a carved stone still lying close to the house. The carving is not clear, apparently shape of dog or horse.
- Local tradition says that there was a churchyard and monastery here also.The Church field is still there.
