- One night long ago a man from Cúm Liath was going home from a fair in which he had sold a lot of stock. He got a good price for his stock and he had nearly fifty pounds in his pocket. The man's name was Downey.
When he was about two miles from his home, he met three men who questioned him. The man was so interested in the questions he was being asked that he did not notice one of the men robbing him. When the man went home he found out that he had been robbed.
Then the man said to himself "I could not have luck because I cheated the buyer who bought my cattle."- Collector
