    the same until they have it all sprayed. The reason they spray their gardens is for fear blight would burn the stalks. Then they leave them growing all the rest of the year until they begin to dig them. They also spray the potatoes in the drills. Then they begin to dig the potatoes. They get a spade and begin digging and they have other people picking them into the pit. All the neighbours help each other diging them. When they have them all dug they put them into pits for a few weeks to dry. The way they make the pits is they dig a deep hole and make it longer as they want it The names of the variets
