  1. In Drumoleague village the fair is held monthly, on the second Thursday of every month. It is a cattle and pig fair. Buyers come from many parts of Co. Cork, to transact business with the local farmers who have animals for sale.
    On the fair morning the farmers are up early to drive the animals to the fair. Whey they reach the village they wait untl the buyers come. There is an old saying concerning the position a person should take in the fair, "If you have only a puck goat be in the middle of the fair. When the buyers come, they walk along the street to see where they would get the best bargain. The first question they usually
