- Long ago a regiment of soldiers were out priest hunting in Inchinatin about a mile from my house. They were passing by a field called "Páirc an Catha" where a priest was celebrating Mass and a huge congregation around him. Not one of the soldiers saw the people but one man. After they had gone a mile he told his comrade who reported it to the officer. The officer shot the man who had seen the congregation as he had not told it when he saw them.
Inchicnatin is a townland in the parish of Kilmeen. The meaning of Inchinatin is the "Island of the furze"- Collector
