    In certain districts crops are not planted until a certain month. Potatoes should be sown on the 1st of May. Mangles should be sown in the month of May and Turnips in the moth of March is supposed to be a dry month but it is also a cold harsh wintry month. There is a story handed down about the "Old Cow". The "Old Cow thought that she would not be able to get through the month of March, but when the last day of March was gone the "Old Cow" was delighted and said "Now I have a chance to live another ear," but March borrowed three days from April and killed the "Old Cow".
