- When Morty Oge was shot in Cualac there was an old woman in Bearehaven who was able to compose poetry in Irish. Her name was Máire Ní Súilleabháin. She composed this poem in Irish about Morty Oge but it was translated into English some time after her death."O Scully you traitor you cruelly betrayed him
