    along enquiring for Coughlan's house he called to Buttimers at Toames east where the road leads on to Tarelton inquiring for the way to Coughlan's. They entreated him to remain in their own house where he could rest assured of his safety. They warned him not to trust Coughlan too far, but he had too much faith in the man that proved to be a traitor. When he reached Coughlans and entered in, the doors were firmly barred from the outside and the traitor made way directly to the Goods that lived where Cal Callaghan now resides. The Goods acting on this information accompanied the informer to his well secured hut and placed poor Uniacke under arrest detained him at their own house until morning and conveyed him under a strong guard including Coughlan to Macloneigh where he was brought before Mr Pane Protestant minister and resident magistrate for the district. On their way there Coughlan was so brazen as to tell Uniacke to try to escape over the fence in order to make his claim stronger for payment. The Goods were several paces behind at the time. The answer Coughlan received for Uniacke was "You have enough done now. The first salute
