- Long ago there was no doctors so everyone was his own doctor. Everyone had their own cures for certain diseases.
Worts
There were three cures for worts.
1. There is an "holy water stone" in this district. The people used to go to the "well" and rub the water to it.
2. The fasting spittle is a good cure also. As soon as you wake you should rub the spittle to them and in nine days they would be cured.
3. If you bruise the juice out of the stem of a dandelion and rubbed it to them it would cure them.
Burns.
Cream and oatmeal mixed is good to put up to the burned part.
Sore Eyes.
It is very good to wash them(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
