- (continued from previous page)... bad weather and a red sky at evening brings fine and frosty weather. A clear blue sky brings the following weather fine, and a dark cloudy sky brings rain.
If rocks shine and glisten it is a signal of bad weather. Fog signifies heat. If the wind blow off the dust off the roadway it is a sure sign of rain. If the sea is rough and roaring it is a sign of bad weather or the approach of a storm. If you hear waterfalls roaring "west" it is a sign of bad weather and if you hear them "east" it is a sign of good weather.
If the smoke from a chimney goes up straight it indicates fine weather.- Collector
