Long ago a man was going to a friend's house late at night...

Long ago a man was going to a friends' house late at night and he was not well acquainted with the locality.
As he was going along he came to a forge where he saw some men playing cards.
He went in & played with them and lost some money at the game.
Later on when he arrived at his friends' house, he told them of his experiences at the forge; they said he must be dreaming as that forge had not been occupied for years.
He left his friends' house next morning & when passing the forge he went in & there he saw the money he had lost the previous night, placed on a slab
